I
want to formerly welcome you to the World Prayer Network
and to thank God for laying in your heart to accept to
stand up for Him and against iniquity and perversions
across the nations of the world.
The focus for this Prayer
Net work is to wipe out idols, unclean spirits,
corruption and violence from the nations of the world
(Zechariah 13: 2). The scope of these startling vices is
defined as follows:
· Idols
- includes cultism, sorceries, witchcraft and ritual
sacrifices,
· Unclean
spirits - includes various forms of immoral sex
practices and lusts,
· Corruption
- includes various forms of injustice, electoral
mal-practices, ritual killings and covetousness.
· Violence
- includes terrorism, armed robbery, vandalism, abortion
and various forms of out laws and disorderliness.
One thing that these
vices have in common is the shedding of innocent blood,
portraying acts of wickedness where mercy is thrown
overboard, generally known as iniquity in the
scriptures. The consequence of these is defilement of
the people and of the land – the land becomes sick
bringing curses and hardship upon the people. It is for
such iniquity that God destroyed the first world and
saved only Noah and his family (Genesis 6: 5 – 7,
11-12), destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire (Genesis
18: 20 – 23), cast out the Canaanites from their land
and gave it over to the Israelites and subsequently
thrust out Israel into slavery in Babylon for more than
70 years. God regards such sins as abomination/ iniquity
– His glory is denied Him and the people are wallowing
in dire hardship. But God wants to do something about it
and this is the time, which is why He is leading us to
be part of this prayer network to stir-up the change.
Each intercessor is to
focus on the nation where he or she is living and then
Nigeria but will receive prayer support from other
intercessors in the network. This is a major challenge
but is a requirement for what the Lord is about to do
across the nations of the world beginning from this year
2006. The vision is sure and clear (Zechariah 13: 1 -
2). |
